Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center will be held 9am-3pm on:

- Saturday, September 20, 2025
HHW collections are free only to residents of Albemarle County, Charlottesville, and Town of Scottsville, and available to Nelson County residents who obtain a voucher from Nelson County government.
Nelson County residents can obtain vouchers at any of the staffed collection sites, County Administration office or contact Sue Baker, Recycling Coordinator, at .

Items Accepted: Acids, adhesives, batteries, CFLs, floor polish, household cleaners, fluorescent tubes, old fuels, paint related products, solvents, pesticides, and more! Visit our website for a complete list.
Cost: FREE for Charlottesville City, Albemarle County, and Town of Scottsville residents. Available to Nelson County residents who obtain a voucher from Nelson County government.
