TJPDC Seeking Public Input for Move Safely Blue Ridge

Charlottesville, Va. — The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) will be popping up at events throughout Region 10 to engage the public about transportation safety needs. The public will have an opportunity to learn about the project and respond to a survey at various farmer’s markets and other locations. Public feedback through the survey will be used in the development of a transportation-related Safety Action Plan called Move Safely Blue Ridge. The survey will remain open through June 25th and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. In addition to the in-person pop-up events, the public is encouraged to complete the survey at: https://bit.ly/BlueRidgeSurvey

Move Safely Blue Ridge will focus on strategies to reduce roadway-related fatalities and serious injuries in the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. The Safety Action Plan is a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Discretionary Program and will center on safety improvements for multi-modal means of transportation.
